An agreement between Columbus officials and Nationwide Realty Investors would put into place one of the final pieces of the Arena District.
Mayor Michael B. Coleman sent legislation to the Columbus City Council tonight to sell the Arena District's developers a 2.5-acre city-owned parcel straddling Vine Street on the west side of Neil Avenue that is slated for apartments and a Giant Eagle supermarket.
Nationwide would pay $2 million for the land, far less than the $5.8 million it offered earlier in the year. Coleman spokesman Dan Williamson said developers would pay upfront for environmental cleanup and other work around the site - costs the city often has shouldered
