The relay was held in Parkes two years ago raising tens of thousands of dollars.
Each alternate year, it is held in Forbes, but it is Parkes turn again in 2008 and organisers are hoping for a huge number of teams.
Many locals have indicated they will be taking part, but interested teams need to register as soon as possible.
Anna Coleman, the Relay For Life Coordinator at the Cancer Councils western regional office, said yesterday that Parkes Relay For Life would be unforgettable and urges local residents to come along.
Parkes Relay For Life will be held over 18 hours and teams of 10 to 15 people will lap Northparkes Oval in honour of people touched by cancer in Parkes and the surrounding areas, Anna said.
